Coffee – Primrose Bakery

If you’re looking for quirky place for a cup of coffee and some gorgeous cake then this bakery in Gloucester Avenue - reportedly the first to serve cupcakes in London - is a must. The extensive list of coffees is made from Allpress Espresso beans roasted in Dalston and there is a wide range of food choices throughout the day, from granola and fresh fruit salad, to crumpets with lashings of butter, pastries and buns. In addition, the bakery produces an extensive range of cupcakes and also a variety of celebration cakes. A gift shop offers additional treats and classes give you the opportunity to learn the art of cake decorating.

Eat – Feng Shang Princess, Floating Chinese Restaurant

Located at the Cumberland Basin by London’s stunning Regent’s Park is this unique floating Chinese restaurant - the very first of its kind in London. The pagoda-adorned two-storey boat is decorated in an authentic Imperial Chinese style, with a red and gold hand painted façade. By day the views from the boat are lovely and by night the boat looks stunning with its twinkling illuminations. Offering a mix of Cantonese, Szechuan and Beijing cuisine and an extensive drinks menu, this restaurant is ideal for a romantic evening, a special occasion or a catch up with friends.

Drink – The Engineer

Situated in Gloucester Avenue, The Engineer is named after Isambard Kingdom Brunel, one of the Victorian age’s most celebrated mechanical and civil engineers. Close to a number of local attractions such as Regent’s Canal and Camden Lock to name a few, this venue is an ideal place to relax. The informal pub offers a superb range of drinks, with an extensive draught selection focussing on the best of British, including a local lager called Camden Hells. The wine list showcases some of the world’s finest producers and some of the cocktails have a quirky twist, alongside classic favourites. The food menu is changed daily to ensure that only the freshest ingredients are used.

Social – The Regent’s Park and Primrose Hill

Primrose Hill was purchased from Eton College in 1841 to extend the parkland available to the people of North London for open-air recreation. At the top of the hill is one of the six protected viewpoints in London - the summit is almost 63 metres above sea level and the trees are kept low so as not to obscure the view. Neighbouring Regent’s Park offers so much for all ages, whatever the season, including London Zoo, the Open Air Theatre, formal gardens,the largest outdoor sports area in Central London, the waterfowl collection and 100 species of wild bird.
