North West London estate agents TK International are proud to be the lead sponsor of this year’s prestigious Hampstead Arts Festival, taking place between Saturday 5th and Sunday 20th November. This is the fifth year that the Hampstead estate agents have sponsored this eclectic mix of performances showcased in some of Hampstead’s finest and most intimate venues, many of which are a short walk from stunning Hampstead property for sale.
The festival commences with a Cavatina Family Concert by the Piatti Quartet. The hour-long concert at St John’s Downshire Hill - a beautiful Grade I listed Hampstead property is recommended for anyone from 5 to 100 years. On Sunday, 6th November in Hampstead Parish Church (known for its rich acoustics) one of Britain’s most acclaimed cellists - Raphael Wallfisch - will join forces with The English Chamber Orchestra, conducted by James Sherlock, to perform works by Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Britten and Holst, to name a few.
Other performances during the festival include the pianist, composer and writer Stephen Hough performing works by Schubert, Franz Liszt and Hough, while Gwilym Simcock and Kizzy Crawford team up with an ensemble from the Welsh Chamber Orchestra, Sinfonia Cymru, for a classical-soul-folk-jazz fusion performance. The festival will also feature a screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘The Lodger’ with live improvisation accompaniment by pianist/composer Gwilym Simcock.
During the weekend of the 12/13th November, the festival will have a ‘words weekend’ with fascinating talks held at beautiful Burgh House. The weekend concludes on the 20th November with a Christmas Oratorio by JS Bach with support from the Hampstead Parish Church choir and the Ensemble Passio Baroque Orchestra.
Jeremy Karpel, director at TK International, comments: “We are thrilled to be the lead sponsor of this prestigious event. It’s a marvellous showcase for Hampstead, with attendees able to soak up the fine settings and local ambience.
